Pick a style, then the edition for your printer

Cards style. A big card for each molecule.

Periodic table style. Big tiles and big names, like an element chart.

Menu style. A menu board, with the molar mass where the price would be.

Print at A3 or larger. A2 is best for a classroom wall. On A4 the small text becomes too small to read comfortably.

Other languages

The same poster, translated. Each one keeps the English names on a second line, and is made in the Cards style, as a PDF for printing.

These are first translations. If you read the language and see a mistake, please tell us and we will fix it. The "Put your name on it" feature below works for the English poster only for now.

Make it yours

Put your name on it

The poster has a plate that says This poster belongs to. Type your name and we write it on the line for you. It all happens on your own device, so your name is never sent to us.

Sign in and we will fill in your name for you.

Prefer a pen? Download the plain poster above and write on the line. Bangla names work too, if your device has a Bangla font (most phones do).

Style: Cards. Change it with the style buttons above the poster.

Edition

This is how the name plate will look.

Printing tips

Get a good print without spending much

Choose the size

A3 is the design size, and A2 is best for a wall. Most print shops can do both. Choose "Actual size" or "Fit to page" in the print settings.

Save ink

The page is white and the header is pale, so even the colour edition uses little ink. On a black-and-white printer, use the black-and-white edition.

Print one test

Screens and printers show colours differently. Print one copy first and hold it at arm's length. It should be easy to read.

In the classroom

Four ways to use it

Smell test. Smell cinnamon, cumin, mint, clove, fennel and cardamom, and match each to its molecule. Which two share an aldehyde?
Two experiments. Try the whole-or-crushed test and the warm-it-up test from the bottom of the poster, with an adult. What changes when more molecules can escape?
Spot the groups. Cinnamon and cumin are aldehydes, coriander and mint are alcohols, and cardamom is an ester. Compare with the Functional groups poster.
Collect the set. This is part 2 of 3. See the heat poster and the taste poster too.

Free to print and use in classrooms, labs and reading rooms, with Chem2Cure credited. Please do not sell it. Check the facts against your textbook.
